Sharing

I setup sharing with a mix of samba and right clicking on a folder and setting up sharing. However, I just noticed something very disturbing when I restart the computer. Any files I have in the shared folder disapear when I restart and also the sharing turns itself off on restart. Why?

Feel free to delete this thread. I have decided to go back to windows for server and just learn linux on a spare computer with nothing important on it.
