rsync and rsnapshot


hi is any one using rsync and rsnapshot can you tell me how you are getting on with it i have just install them and about to play around with them i do not want to do remote backup just want backup my system to a internal drive using the automated snapshot format

I use rsnapshot to backup several machines on my network, the home folders mostly. I've not had any problems with it. What specific questions do you have?

hi frob23 i was reading about it and i would like to setup it on my machine so i can backup my machine in snapshot and i would like to save the snapshots to a harddrive in the same machine
drive space is not problem i every time i backup my machine in mandriva backup tool and go to restore it comes back saying it corrupted a lot of time wasted rsync is ready install on the system i would neeed to install rsnapshot and configure it run that where i would need a bit of guidence configureing and the running commands

Thanks JZL240I-U i have just installed the rsnapshot and about to configure the rsnapshot.conf.default thank for the sites i will have play around with it over couple of days
