reg start X


Hi All...

I am having only one linux system(LAS 3.0) in my LAN.... its running very well... what happens if i run a "startx" command from terminal? should i have to face starting problems or any fatal error.... i am little bit feard to run this command from terminal......any help /suggestions would be appreciate..

Do you have X running allready? And now you want to try to startx again? You will most likely get an error saying that the X server is allready running. And no, you should not have any problems when you restart/reboot your system.

Please, post output of your work with terminal. How do you try to start X server?
