Hello,
Can anyone tell em whats the file that i need to modify if i need to add programs to startup after logging in? Link from the GUI in RedtHat9 we can do "RedHat>Preferences>Session>Startup" and add scripts there, where is the file located?

emacs .bashrc of the user you want to have these programs started when they login. This file is found in /home/username/ directory. However these would also be run every time you start console in X. Maybe there is some other way. But I don't kno of it yet.

everyone says ./bash_profile but it doesn't work for me. But I might be doing something wrong. That is the official place to put it for any user. I would like some help on what to put in and which file. In every users home directory is a file called .bash_profile and there is one in /etc/skel/

Some help for me to.
