Question RedHat 7.3 and SoundMAX integrated sound

Does 7.3 support integrated sound? I would love to run it on my new machine without buying a new sound card! Thanks.

Which mother board & sound card are you using?. If it is a common card yes 7.3 supports integrated sound. If not detected try to use sndconfig --noprob & specify a driver which is as close to it as possible.(Ess***,Creative** etc).

It should work. Worked with an HP Kayak on my box

RedHat7.3 in a Dimension 4500 w/ SoundMAX integrated

I have tried sndconfig and cannot get to chose anything... kicks me out saying it has not found the sound device
