Smile Questions on updating Lucid Puppy from other PCs

Hi,

I'm a Linux newbie and I'd like to know if I could update my installation via another pc if I backup my sfs and 2fs files and load it from another pc. I wonder if Puppy includes driver files specific for the pc upon creation of the sfs and 2fs files.

Many thanks in advance.

The driver files should all be there, but your configuration files might not be appropriate. That said, the only problem I run into switching my Puppy-on-a-USB-stick between my netbook and my desktop PC is with the video (Nvidia on the desktop, Intel on the netbook), but running the xorg wizard takes care of that issue.

Thanks a lot. Like this I'll be able to update my Puppy whenever I go as long as I have the sfs & 2fs files on my pendrive.
