PXE boot from ISO

Is it possible to run AMIDIAG test from PXE boot?

I have that bootable iso file of amidiag, is it enough or i need any other format image?

If any possibilities to boot this iso image means mention here

Otherwise anyone give link to download the amidiag binary (*.bin) file download link

Hi,

Which version of 'AMIDIAG'?

I really can't find a current version.

If you have the ISO then burn the image and boot it. If it's version 2 then you'll find support for around 2001 hardware. Useless for current hardware or limited test.

'SystemRescueCd' or 'UBCD Ultimate Boot CD' would be better choices for overall system diagnostic work with GNU/Linux.

In most cases you can use pxe to serve some image. That software may work in memdisk.

It may be possible to use a usb flash drive See pendrivelinux.com for how they were booting iso images with grub4dos (nt).

See also gpxe for how to boot from other than tftp servers.

I tried to boot with memdisk only, it hang at "loading boot sector... booting...".

Is it possible to use all the bootable iso in PXE boot?

otherwise any other packages/utility required for this? I am looking for network boot (PXE) only......

Hi,

usb-and-pxe-installers/ contains the information within README_PXE.TXT for Slackware 13.1.

I have used pxe a lot for all sorts of OS's. See syslinux site for all the options that may be needed. It may take a while to play with an understand what all is going on. Almost any smallish system like dos can be loaded on memdisk but may need some work or other issues.

See this. It may help. http://pxeknife.erebor.org/

Be sure to use latest pxe and syslinux tools. Many improvements.
