Proxy configurations

How can i configure my connection with anonymous proxy servers? I don't want people or some sites to know my ip address. I know my isp keeps a log file and I hate it!

You can set up squid to use a parent proxy (anonymiser etc), but keep in mind there is no such thing as true anonymity on the Internet. Unless you, or someone using your machine is doing something really illegal, you shouldn't worry too much about them having your ip. I have always thought anaonymiser proxies are a scam, as the users identity can be determined with a simple court order and a few log files.
