Unhappy Problems getting Rogers Nokia CS-18 to work in Xubuntu 10.04

Hello,

I'm new to Xubuntu and open source stuff in general. My only programming experience has been with hardware programming (PLC-programmable Logic Controllers), and some VB for human machine interface (also hardware based).

Anyways, I didn't want to crack Windows, and I heard Ubuntu open source is good. So, I downloaded xubuntu 10.04. At first I couldn't get the wireless device on the laptop to connect to home wifi, but Software center help somehow (some network manager or something).

But my problem is this. I have a Nokia CS-18 Internet mobile stick from Rogers. It said it was plug and play and worked for linux. I plug it in and get the follow :

Failed to Mount "CD-ROM" Disc: Method ..."modem"..."ssas"... org.freedesktop.hal.device.volume doesn't exist

So it won't let the nokia software run. Please help me. Please. I need it for my business I'm starting up.

Thanks a plenty.

Fumes
