Problem with Gome on Redhat 7.3

This should be easy but I cannot figure it out. For some reason I get a teriminal screen and 2 spreadsheets come up when I log in. I have been unable to find how to remove these from my "startup" routine. Any help would be appreciated! (I think it is Gnome 1.4)

Close everything, then browse through the menu until you can find "save current session". Save it and then disable the auto save feature.
