problem uploading file to ftp server

Hi,

I am wondering if anyone ever has this problem with their ftp server. I can upload small file from Windows internet explorer into the Linux ftp server, but when I try uploading a very large file I get an error message: "An error occurred copying a file to the FTP Server. Make sure you have permission to put files on the server. Details: The connection with the server was reset." My upload limit on the server is set to 1 gig. Not really sure what the problem is, but I hope some one has an answer though.

Does this same error occur if you try to FTP the file without using IE ?? And are you logged in anonymously or with a user account ??

Make sure you dont have quotas enabled. Also we need to know if you are logging in with a user account or as anonymous.

There is no quotas and I am logging in with a user account. I try to ftp from dos and I didn't get an error message. But it did not upload the entire file either.
