Possible to transfer files to/from portable vhd from/to PC?

OK-
Is that possible or just thru the net?
I am speaking of my portable-qemu stuff where I have dsl running off a vhd running off USB; only way I know to transfer files/etc is thru internet.

Do you mean mounting a local (physical) filesystem through the emulated operating system?

Yes sir, I mean I have inserted a USB into a computer(any that will allow usb access), and
invoked a script calling up qemu playing DSL off the usb.
Is there a way to physically access the HD of that computer thru DSL besides the internet or a network?
I know I can transfer files from my gmail account to/from the vhd; but was wondering how to get direct access to the HD?
