Partitioning/installing UEFI problems.

Hello, I bought a PC that does not allow me to change from UEFI to Legacy and since that kind of partitioning is complicated for me, I installed the system with the option for "on the entire disk", and I say this in quotes, because when the installer finished the automatic partitioning process, I see that it leaves me 30 GB 'unallocated'.

My question, can I take advantage of that space to format it as ext4 and install another system there? Thanks.

You could, if it really is unallocated. You don't say what tool you are using. Note, you need only one ESP partition per machine, also there is no need for two swap partitions - unless you hibernate.

Note, copy-paste plain text is easier than messing with images. Then again, images are great if you get married or something, but this doesn't seem to be the case here.
Anyhow, I do not see any 30 GB free space there, just measly 31 MiB.

Red face

Sorry, i was very distracted, there is nothing like 30GB

Images are not allowed?. I didn't know, besides I'm weak on the commands, i would waste more time looking for which command applies to the case than putting a picture, but if images are not acceptable, well, no way, i have to accept the rules.

Again, I apologize for my lack of attention, thanks.

Images are allowed, they just don't make sense in most cases. If you have Grub error at boot then image may be the right approach. But text from terminal? It is two moves with mouse to copy and paste it. The important part of this can be quoted without re-typing by your helpers, there is no readability issues. See, below I copy-paste my partition layout. Nice, readable and quotable. Took 3 seconds.
Code:
 ~ # parted -l
Model: ATA TS64GMTS800 (scsi)
Disk /dev/sda: 64.0GB
Sector size (logical/physical): 512B/512B
Partition Table: gpt
Disk Flags:

Number Start End Size File system Name Flags
 1 1049kB 210MB 209MB fat16 EFI System boot, esp
 2 211MB 64.0GB 63.8GB f2fs Linux filesystem

Whilst I also prefer text in most cases, the use of thumbnails here at LQ is (now) pretty well integrated. I don't see them as intrusive. Much better than pasted in some external site that requires javascript or such.

Form external site I can copy and paste the error and what is causing it. These will stay with forum and everyone with same issue can see them. I'm not going to re-type errors from images, no, thank you. I personally usually just stay away in that case and let someone else to take care of thread. I do not think I'm exceptional in any way, therefore I assume there are other members who do the same. Yes, I believe posting images instead of text (locally or pastebin sites) reduces the number of responses to a help request.
