p2p-dev-wlan0 or wlan0 - what is the difference ?

See the title.
wpa_cli "select" "first" WiFi device - wlan0 or p2p-dev-wlan0 at random.
Is there a reason for such behaviour?
Does it makes a difference?

There is a reason - (this isn't a windows forum), but I don't know what it is. I would expect that it goes back to what the module sees, which then becomes your wifi device.

Try running 'ifconfig' for a few days beforehand, presuming you connect daily. It may differ if the kernel loads the module or NM wakes it up. Just a guess.

naming conventions , some distors have wlan and others have something else.
Code:
sudo ifconfig
if you have that one installed will show you want its called.
