.bash_profile is not meant to be executable. If you really want you can run "sh .bash_profile", but it's not something you'd usually run by itself, as it's execueted as part of a larger login process.
Today i installed Enterprise Linux 4.5 .
I got one message like this Could n’t look up internet address for dhcppc1 . This will prevent GNOME from operating currently.
It may be possible to correct the problem by adding dhcppc1 to the file /etc/hosts
It shows two options
1) LoG IN ANYWAY
2) TRY AGAIN
May i know what's cause of error here ... I used ISO images only. Did i miss anytrhing while Linux installation ????
I am having problem to share oracle software from windows to linux.
I shared oracle software from windows to linux.
I checked through following instructions
[root@dhcppc1 ~]# cd /tmp
[root@dhcppc1 tmp]# cd /mnt
[root@dhcppc1 mnt]# cd hgfs
[root@dhcppc1 hgfs]# ls -l
total 0
drwxrwxrwx 1 root root 0 May 3 21:20 win32_11gR1_database_1013
unzip: cannot find or open win32_11gR1_database_1013,
win32_11gR1_database_1013.zip or win32_11gR1_database_1013.ZIP.
May i know what is error here ???? . I am installing oracle 10g on Enterprise linux 4.5. but error message shows 11g.i have to run runInsaller to install oracle.
