Hi all,
Do you have checked the mount? its sounds like you mounted in the read only mode.

Hi all

Thanks to every one for the quick reply .I was able to fix the issue . for some reason i tried an fuser on home dir and killed the process that was using the dir.

[root@guest2 ~]# fuser -mv /home
USER PID ACCESS COMMAND
/home: root 2919 f.... automount

[root@guest2 ~]# kill -9 2919

After this i was able to create the folders.

Thanks,
ved
