Noob to debian - add repos to sources.list

Just got debian sarge on my laptop and got the XFree86 and Gnome combo going here.
Assuming there must be xorg and latest Gnome in testing/unstable/contrib etc repos somewhere in the world.
I know I have to add these repos to /etc/apt/sources.list file.

Which locations to add ? My closes mirror doesn't have the folders except stable

Just change stable (Sarge) to testing (Etch) in /etc/apt/sources.list, and run apt-get update && apt-get dist-upgrade

Do not add separate lines for testing. You'll wind up with a mess. You will not find Gnome greater than 2.14 until the move of Etch to stable is finished.
