Networking Question

When I install Mandrake 9.2 for the first time, will I have to configure the network settings to get on the internet? I currently have DSL, connected through a router. Thanks!

Well, yah, you will have to do some interaction to get your Internet going. Are you using USB or connecting to an Ethernet card?

If either are supported and its detected, you should be prompted during the install to either use DHCP or setup a Static IP setting. If you use DHCP, that should really pretty much do it as all the information is obtained from the ISP. If static, well then you will need to supply that information to connect.
