Mouse pointer sometimes suddenly stops working (Fedora)

Occasionally, when I log on to Fedora 35 (Workstation Edition) with GNOME 41, my mouse stops working. Then, I have to run:
Code:
dconf reset -f /
to reset the settings and get it to work again. However, then I have to reconfigure all of my settings. Is there an easier way to solve this problem?

Do you have another mouse you can test with so as to rule out a hardware problem with the mouse?

Actually, it doesn't work with a touchpad. An external mouse seems to work fine. Even stranger, both always work when I boot into Windows.

What is the make/model of the computer?

As an aside, I hate touchpads and never use them. But that's a matter of personal taste.

Here's a screenshot of the "About" section in the settings:

(Yes, I previously had Windows 10 on this computer, but I installed Linux as a dual-boot.)
