modem problem with redhat 7.3

Hello everyone-
I'm fairly new to linux, and I have just installed redhat 7.3. I have been trying to set up my internet connection with the help of RedHat Linux Unleashed, but I'm running into some problems. Linux is unable to find my modem (Lucent Win Modem). Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

that newest lucent driver from linmodems is pretty easy
to use, as long as you have the kernel source installed.
