Middle button click scrolling auto scrolling

I love everything about Ubuntu, other than the fact that I can't fast scroll down any web pages by clicking the mouse wheel button and dragging down my cursor to control at what pace I want to scroll.

Is there any way to enable this in Ubuntu 12.04?

Since you are using Linux this features is no longer availble. You'll just have to live with out it

Okay okay I'm just kidding. I went through this my self when I started using Linux as a desktop. This is how you do it for firefox.

Quote:
1. open firefox
2. In the address bar type "about:config" with out the quotes.
3. Search for " general.autoscroll" and change the value to "ture"
And there you go.

Nice! Thank you, your advise gave me a base on what to search for. The scrolling is apparently called "Autoscrolling", so I googled to see if this available in Chrome and I found this:

https://chrome.google.com/webstore/d...nacmkejpdionan

So your example and the link above is useful for anybody who searches this in the future

Thank you
