Danger, danger will robinson...

Generally, I do not click on these kinds of shortened links. They do not tell you where you are really going, and may lead to a threat site. I would only click on a readable, full, direct link and not often then.

I cannot recommend anyone risk any of the links in the above posting. Proceed at your own risk.

It would still be better to use the direct links. The others can get redirected with unfortunate results.

Specially for newbies.

If you have the full URL why need to shorten it?

Those links lead to something else?

@OP be aware that what you can do to make things more readable is make a link in the following manner:

[url=www.linuxquestions.org]This text shows, but the link is to www.linuxquestions.org[/url]

The result really appears like this:

This text shows, but the link is to www.linuxquestions.org

Or you can just post the link between the url and /url tags without altering the text:

[url]www.linuxquestions.org][/url]

Thus it will show as:

www.linuxquestions.org]

I think most every responders' points here are that some potential form of bad content could possibly be pointed too by those shortened links. None of us are probably going to try them out.

To be more helpful, just post the actual correct links. Style options are shown above to help with some of that.
