What can I do to get that option like it has on other machines?

Impossible to say without more information. Simplest way is to use the Manual option which is called "Something Else" on the Mint installer. Before trying that, you might read a little about the process. The link below is pretty detailed on dual-booting with Mint and windows 8. Should not be much different with 10.

The most common reasons you do not see that option is because your windows install is using all the partitions in an MBR install or you have no unallocated space on which to install outside your windows partitions. This information can be obtained by using GParted Partition Manager on the Mint DVD or from the command: sudo fdisk -l(Lower Case Letter L in command) and posting that output here.
Did you install windows 10 using UEFI? If so, you will need to install Mint the same.
