As I said, it takes up more resources because it come with a different GUI. AntiX MX has the Xfce desktop; that's light compared to things like Gnome and KDE, but it's not specifically designed to be light: the developers are just hostile to eye-candy and bloat. The original AntiX uses the Ice window manager, and so needs less than 60 MB before you start programs.

I have a P III 550MHz: good for messing/trying around. BUT: if you need a positive experience, buy a second hand PC (P4 or higher).. with 30€ you can have a hardware for daily use (Windows XP type PC).
