I'm sorry about my post in the "[SOLVED] pre-boot "Press S to skip mounting" error" I should have started a new thread and now I can't delete that post, anyway....
I am so new to Linux, so I might not know what I'm talking about, but I have the error press s to skip, just like the title shows. I installed win7 first, then linux mint, then had to rebuilt the grub, something like this "sudo grub-install --root-directory=/mnt/ /dev/sd" and now when I boot into linux I get the message "Keys: Continue to wait, or press S to skip mounting of M for manual recovery"
If I press s it goes right into mint, no errors.
I followed a different thread as best I could. I did alt F2 then typed "gksu gedit /etc/fstab" and it opened a blank window titled "etc/fstab". Then in the terminal I typed "sudo blkid -c /dev/null".
Next it said to compare the 2, but like I mentioned, the fstab was empty.
Oh, and windows 7 boots fine.
Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong, or how to fix this error?
OK, now we have all the attachments ...
The entry in /etc/fstab for /boot is wrong - you appear not to have a separate /boot partition. Don't know what happened.
Use sudo to gedit /etc/fstab, and comment out the line that starts as UUID=c9ad... - simply instert a # followed by a blank before UUID. Save the change and reboot.

When I did this, all kinds of errors showed up in the terminal window, but it worked, I rebooted and no more "Press S", thank you very much.
I'm posting the image of the errors, I'm assuming they're normal but if you have time could you please take a look? http://fallspc.com/forumpix/terminal-errors.jpg
