Keyboard Sensitivity with Redhat 9 using Virtual PC

I just installed redhat 9 using virtual PC on vista. I wanted to use VMware but that won't install on vista 64. when ever i type a letter. In windows it would say "a" but in the terminal in redhat when I type "a" it produces "aaaaaa" and its very sensitive. That happens with many different letters on the keyboard. I have to type really really slow and or it will to do that. Any idea whats the problem? could it be V PC? or is it a linux problem? or could it by my keyboard? again it doesn't give me that problem in Vista. I'm confused. Sorry i this problem is already address on the forum but i have no idea how to search for this problem.. its hard to get across.. could not find anything on google either

It is most likely a V PC issue. I have experienced similar problems with VMWare.

You might want to upgrade to a newer distro, RH 9 is ancient and is no longer supported, I would suggest upgrading to CentOS 5 or Fedora 9 if you want to stay with RH
