KDE packages installed in GNOME?

I'm running a stock install of Ubuntu 13.04 (Raring). I went to install my updates using apt-get, but noticed I was getting a lot of KDE packages in the install list. Is there a reason I need these, seeing as i'm running GNOME?

use....
apt-get install KDE

It depends on which packages you see. If one of those is a program you use or a dependency for a program you use then yes, you need those packages.
