So I'm trying to install Manjaro 15.12(from USB) alongside Windows 10 but on a different drive. I get to the screen where you have the option to run Manjaro, and when I do the screen goes black and my TV just says "Invalid format".

PC specs:
i5-6600k
GTX 970
MSI z170a


Windows 10 is already installed on the C drive, this is going on a partition of another drive. I'm booting Manjaro from a 4GB USB using rufus to put the ISO on.

Not sure if it could be a driver issue or something? Any help would be useful, I can provide any other information needed.

Where did you get the ISO/USB file for installation?

it could be your tv just complaining about wrong screen resolution. i hear they are very picky about it.
can't you install hooked up to a computer monitor?

How long did you wait after you got the message on TV screen? It is possible when X loads and pulls EDID from TV the picture will come back, but it may take some time to get there.
