installation of mandrake 9.0

Hello to you i new to linux and would like to install mandrake 9.0,
but so far when i try to install it get an error when checking my hard drive. Right now i'm running Win xp pro SP1 on 2 hard drive mount in raid 0 with 6 partitions, but when i try to install linux give me hard drive with damage.... cannot install let xdrake to manage your hard drive partition yes or no, i did try both without success on computer. I know my copy of linux work cause i tried it on my laptop...any idea thanx

mobo gigabyte GA7VAXP bios F11
2x maxtor 40 gig raid 0
Gforce 4 MSI TI4200 128 med ddr
Barton 2500 +
512 meg ddr 3100

Well Mdk9.0/any version of linux cant be installed on an NTFS yet thanks to Microsoft, so have you got an empty partition which the install can format? 9.2 should be able to cut empty space off an NTFS partition if you want to, but it's still not finished yet.

Did you download 9.0? Did you checksum the cds before and after burning?
