inconsistent disk usage

Hi,

I see this on a machine.

root@test [~]# df -h |grep home
/dev/sda8 330G 307G 5.9G 99% /home

Simple mathematics won't do 330-307 = 5.9. users are getting disk full errors. I know its not Linux being bad at mathematics, but could anyone tell me how to retrieve the remaining space and explain where it is being utilized. its a hardware raid 1 n centos 4.8. Some one told me ages ago about some command tune2fs but not sure if its right

There's some space reserved for root. Use 'tune2fs -l' on the block device ('/dev/...' not '/home') and look for the Reserved block count. Use tune2fs -r to change it.
