I just Installed the Ubuntu ver. of linux

JUst Intalled linux about 3 days ago. It was petty simple except for a fw minor adjustments. I wantd to install flashplayer which I did and I cant seem to pull it up. It said that I have to make sure the xpti.dat is disabled from the mozilla browser. How do I go about doing this ?, and What do I do afterwards?

P.S- How do I install Linux Games that I download from the net?

Thanks for this(A Linux Guide for Windows Users) I've already been to the user guide hasn't been much of any help . Got the Flash player installed through trial-n-error. I look at this new guide and see if it can guide me in the right direction if not then I am going to need someone to give it to me str8 instead of givn me the run around
