What errors or warnings did you get while installing all this software?

Does Ubuntu have working network access?

Have you tested a simple tcl program to verify that tcl is installed and working?

Have you made the necessary changes to the Windows firewall to allow nam access?

Are you running this in WSL (Windows Subsystem for Linux)? Need to verify as it could impact your efforts.

The Ubuntu package 'nam' is corrupt.
Not unusual, as Ubuntu nam packages depend on tcl + tk.
When tcl, tk are updated nam doesn't work anymore.
NAM has "low priority": Years between updates.
No valid nam periodically since 2014 https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nam

If it's a genuine Linux OS https://www.linuxquestions.org/quest...-4175524760/#2
Suggest nam_1.14_amd64.deb, i.e. v1.14 is a "one file package".
I.e. v1.15 different, was designed to also work with a Mac computer :
Depends on the tcl / tk it was built with ..... in the right location.

If WSL: I guess it's do it yourself .... or find a working executable on the net.
But then again, if WSL is "console only", no NAM .. as a graphical user interface is required.
