"hub 1-1:1.0: unable to enumerate USB device on port 6"

I get the following message while booting

"hub 1-1:1.0: unable to enumerate USB device on port 6".

I have a loose connection to my internal webcam, so that might be the problem.

Any way to stop the computer from searching on port 6?

Solution

I found a solution to this problem, in my case.

http://www.geekdevs.com/2010/04/solv...ling-ehci_hcd/

This solved my problem, at least until the next boot up. I figure that a script could be added to run each time the computer boots to perform this action.

Unfortunately, the link you provided is broken. Can you explain what the fix was?
