how to setup system to print on brothers hl2270-w and hp d4160. Please details!

Need a line by line instruction set on how to setup both a HP Deskjet
D4160 injet printer and a Brothers HL2270w printer. Something of a step by step guide. Im using an acer aspire 4330 runing Ubuntu 11.10 OS

Have you tried installing the printers using the Ubuntu-supplied utility? (somewhere in your menus)

The other method (which I prefer) is the generic CUPS admin page. In a browser, simply type "localhost:631". If the printer is connected and turned on, then it should automatically be detected when selecting the "add printer" option.
