How to set up USB ADLS modem on a linux based OS

Hi,

I can boot and run Mint Debian 64 liveUSB.even though I see some a few warnings at startup, I am able to run the system smoothly. My only problem I have so far is that I dont know how to set up my UBS ADSL modem..It can only connect via USB..

I use Alcatel Thomson SpeedTouch 330 USB

I read there is a program called USB ADSL Modem Manager..but I was not able to find it officially on the internet.
https://launchpad.net/usb-adsl-modem-manager

and there is page explain how to set up my modem but again I couldn't find the batches written on that page on ubuntu official batch page..
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Us...dem/SpeedTouch

should I install this program or now it comes with ubuntu?

And when I write "lsusb" on " the monitor" I get this

mint@mint ~ $ lsusb

Linux is NOT windows. They have very differnet designs and interact differently with the end user. If you want "Plug & Play" the closest I could recomend in this order:

-- Manjaro
-- Linux Mint ( Not Debian Version )
-- Ubuntu

I would still hold onto your links though as specialized hardware will probably take a specialized configuration.
