[SOLVED] How to install LAMPP so it shows up in /opt/lampp

I followed this article on how to install LAMPP

but when comparing it to another LAMPP server we have, the lampp stuff is in /opt/lampp on this server, while on my new server there is only lost+found inside of /opt.

Did I totally screw this up?

No, you didn't screw up anything. The locations that the LAMP in
that guide you posted uses will be the defaults for your centos'
RPMs locations. Just check the output of

Code:

rpm -ql httpd

for the location of your httpd.conf, look for your document root
and you're away laughing. The "other LLAMP" of yours is most likely
based on either a different distribution, or on someone elses idea
of what LAMP should be, and where it should live.

Thanks Tink. Yeah, my DocumentRoot is indeed /var/www/html.

I also found an installer for XAMPP in someone else's home directory, i bet that's where that /opt/lampp came from, even though they swore they "never" used xampp LOL
