Hello nikhilcr,

I think with such details no one would be able to help you out properly.
Anyone can just hit a blind guess for your problem. SO it would be better if you elaborate properly

but for my hit of guess if you want to install gnome and kde

Code:
#yum groupinstall "GNOME Desktop Environment"

#yum groupinstall "KDE"

Firstly, have you bought RHEL or are you just using the demo? If you paid, ask them for help. If you didn't, then get a free Linux (e.g. CentOS) because you won't get any security updates from Red Hat if you haven't paid them!

When you installed, which option did you choose? If you didn't choose one of the desktop options, then naturally you don't have any GUI. And if you tried to customise it, then it defaults to a minimal install plus whatever you chose. The same applies to installing CentOS.
