how to enable 2 I.P's to work on one NIC card simultaneously

How are you guys? I have a problem that I would want help with. I am relatively new to Linux and I want to have 2 I.P's simultaneously work on one NIC card for a webserver. I struggled to have this I.P added on the network card but I did eventually. Unfortunately the two are requiring to be manually activated and only working one at a time when I actually want them to work together.
