How To diffrentialte between english and arabic in c/c++?


He Everyone,
I have one task to do that is im reading some data from file and that file contain some arabic data some English. My task is to to read the file and separate Arabic and English data and write it into two separate files. So please can anybody help me how to know whether data i m reading is English or Arabic.

what kind of file is that? MS Word or something else? You need to know the format of that file.

If it's a word processor file, then I wonder if the word processor is not the best solution.....you could simply make two copies of the file and use the search and replace tool to delete the characters you don't want.

Otherwise, I assume that anything that is mixed characters like that is in unicode. I visualize operation on the actual byte values is some way.
