If you just want to install a system, then download an ISO image file for a distribution that you'd like to try, create a CD from that file, and boot the computer from the CD.

Popular distributions for new people include Ubuntu, Kubuntu, Mandriva, Suse, PCLinuxOS, Mepis ... or you can have a look at many more possibilities at distrowatch.org

YAY! ive finally started my linux lfs system off www.linuxfromscratch.org and i am going good so far!!!!!!!!!!!

Well ive started linux from scratch and need some help please.
