oh sorry i didnt see the "-d". when i enter

it says

blender version: blender-2.48a-linux-glibc236-py25-x86_64
python version: 2.5.1

i think im gonna give up with it cause its not gonna do anything else, unless ive entered anything wrong.

You downloaded the 64 bit version. Have you tried the 32 bit version?

the python version that comes with my pc is Python 2.5.1
