HOW backup (image) suse 11.0 , 6 x hdd raid 5, without stopping the server


if we stop the server all data will be gone , we have to make a backup when the server is working ( rebuild is not working )

Did you want to image it, or back it up? Backing up you can do while it's live, I don't often say commercial software names but Symantec Backup Exec would do the job and Acronis have a special backup software that will image a live system, but so would any number of unix tools.

If you actually want to image it live using free tools, you can do that with http://www.partimage.org/.
