help, no space issue

this is my file system.is there anything unusual?
now when i m going to download anything big, its saying no space. i think problem is in dev/sda3.but in dev/sda4 i have unused 180 GB. how could i use that available space.what should i do now.

Hi, Welcome to LQ!

I would resize (shrink) the home partittion to make way for either

1. a larger root partition, (resize or grow) of at least 30Gb larger (maybe with gparted), or

2. Reinstall with extra partitions for /usr (16Gb) and /var (18Gb).

You haven't mentioned a swap size, if you don't have one, you could add that too.

Either way you will need to watch out for partition uuid numbers changing, and reconfigure grub and fstab to show the changes.
