help accessing an ntfs partition

Please bear with me here, guys... I'm a total newb...

I'm currently trying to access an ntfs partition (/mnt/win_d), but I'm running into some difficulty. I assume it has been mounted because it is displayed in Konqueror. However, there is a padlock on it and I do not have permission to access it. I cannot change permissions because i am not the owner.

Is there any way I can access it?

thanks for your time

edit: I am using Mandrakelinux 10.2 beta 3

Added this to fstab and works for me, hope it helps.

Just substitute your /dev/hdX and uid=your user

/dev/hdb1 /mnt/win_d ntfs ro,user,exec,uid=linuxbox,gid=users,iocharset=iso8859-1 0 0
