Full installation - necessity of lupusave file

I have a very old laptop computer, and just did a full install of Puppy Linux 5.1.1 on it. I decided on the full install, as the HDD is only 30GB; the pin configuration on the internal HDD apparently isn't compatible with my larger HDD. I notice that the lupusave file that I used when I was running the Live CD is still on my HDD. Do I need to keep that file? It was originally created at 1.5GB size, as I found it filled up quickly. Now, my system reads "27G personal storage, free space = 22G", so I don't think it uses it anymore.

Thank you in advance for any help with this.

EDDY1, Thank you for your quick reply. Here is the info you requested:

Output of 'df -h'

Code:
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
rootfs                 28G  4.1G   23G  16% /
/dev/root              28G  4.1G   23G  16% /
shmfs                 104M     0  104M   0% /dev/shm
Output of 'fdisk -l'

Code:
Disk /dev/sda: 30.0 GB, 30005821440 bytes
255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 3648 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes

   Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/sda1               1        3648    29302528+  83  Linux
I really appreciate the help. The HDD isn't very large, and as it fills up over time, I would like to keep as much disk space as I can.
