ftp server


Hi

i have installed vsftpd in centos5.3 , i able to ftp this server properly but when i browse the server ip from IE ex 192.16.1.5 it shows all content of server ,as i create data folder under /usr ,where all ftp data stored ,how to restrict by broswing all content of server

You "browse" it with IE...how? Just by putting in the IP address of the server? Via "http://192.16.1.5", or "ftp://userassword@192.16.1.5"?? If you're using http, and have indexing enabled, that's why you can see files. Otherwise, have you read your OTHER thread from March, where you asked about vsftp directory restrictions??

Did you even try to look up any of the VERY easily-found guides on vsftpd on Centos, and how to perform access restrictions?
