fsck error on boot: fsck /dev/sda6

I have been using windows earlier and recently changed to ubuntu 18.04. Since then I've been facing system slow down and once in a while I get fsck error. I've partitioned it into a 80 gb file system and the rest is stored in other disks of my older files.

It would be great if you provided a precise description of the problem rather than relying on people's guessing skills.

I understand that you experience fsck errors on /dev/sda6 when starting up. What errors are those, what filesystem resides on sda6, can you provide the sda partition table? Is anything else wrong?

Since when has the system been slow? How do you measure the slowness?

Try using the smart tools to check if the drive is having problems. Here is a gui tool link which should be easier to use then figuring out how to use the command line version.
