%{

#include <stdio.h>
#include "y.tab.h"
int c;
extern int yylval;
%}
%%
" " ;
[a-z] {
c = yytext[0];
yylval = c - 'a';
return(LETTER);
}
[0-9] {
c = yytext[0];
yylval = c - '0';
return(DIGIT);
}
[^a-z0-9\b] {
c = yytext[0];
return(c);
}
it shows that line 23 has an "EOF encountered inside an action " error!

Ok...and are we supposed to guess as to what the 'it' is? When it shows the message? Version/distro of Linux? What you're doing/trying, or even what your question is????

Unless you provide details, you won't be able to get help. Please read the LQ Rules and the guidelines on "How to ask a Smart Question".
