finger


hi guys, trying to learn the terminal.

im typing man -k user and i thought I would be able to find the finger command to study the syntax but its not there. do i have t install something to see the finger command?

It should show in the list, does on my machine. For how to use finger try: man finger for explanations.

in that case finger was probably not installed

thank you. i thought finger would be installed by default with the linux kernel. i just installed it and there it is!
