Fedora programs say "Starting..." and disappears without trace!

People,

This is very frustrating. I have been installing Fedora Core 3. I get to the desktop and when I click on saying system logs or other apps then a message appears at the bottom "starting...." and then nothing it disappers without trace.

Does anyone else get this?

Regards,
Meadensi

Instead of clicking and starting them try to run them from the console. That way it will inform you of any errors or whether you need to install any packages.
